Is it possible to install a uPVC door frame (with side windows) without a DPC?
I ask because I have had one fitted, and the builder did not install one. I am holding back money because he did not fit one. He reckons that it is not necessary because the frame is uPVC.
However, the builders lay a DPC initially when they fitted the frame and 2 course of bricks wrong. It looks to me that he forgot to put the DPC back when he re-fitted the 2 course brick.
hi its fine the DPC and UPVC do the same job no damp will cross the plastic that's how its done pay him if you have a problem (you won't though) he will come back and sort it out hope this helps .s. :)
