Fitting Kitchen Open Shelf Corner Unit

Post by katmandu71 » Thu Aug 09, 2007 4:20 pm

I have bought a kitchen corner unit from B&Q and am a bit stumped about how to go about fixing it to the wall and to the adjacent wall cupboard.

The unit came with fixings to attach the unit to the adjacent unit - but no advice about how to attach it to the wall.

I have some appropriate plugs and screws - but this will drilling a hole in the back of the unit to attach it - thereby affecting the appearance of the unit. I accept that this MAY be the only way to do it - but wondered if anyone had any bright ideas about how to avoid this?

How do professional kitchen fitters install such units?

Many thanks

hi,if you are not using the shelves for anything heavy then fixing into the adjacent unit is ample.you can also use an L shaped bracket fixed to the top of the shelves and drilled to the wall.
