fitting new down lights

I am installing new downlights in the kitchen,can i run the feed to the downlights from the exsisting cieling rose/junction box and are thy wired up on a loop back to the rose/junction using the exsisting switch.thanks phil

Under normal conditions you would be able to take the feed for down lights from the ceiling rose. But be careful as you have Live, Neutral, Switch and Earth wires and sometimes the switch wire is same colour as neutral look at the protects section. Unless in Scotland kitchens come under Part P which again is in projects section.
Lights wiring is by far the biggest problem that DIYers seem to have so do read other posts and projects before starting so you don't also have problems.
