Hi, I am fitting a thermostatic shower mixer valve, the hot & cold water pressure is really good, the supply is from a 3 year old condensor boiler, do I need to
ballance the hot & cold water pressure or will the mixer valve sort out any
differances, my worry is if there is a higher cold pressure does it force the hot water back ?.... do I need to even check the pressures ?..
thanks..

Some showers will cope with a fluctuation, others need to have flow restrictors fitted. The fitting instructions should tell you what you need to do.

No. This cannot happen with high pressure supplies.

Good question! Generally, a visual check to ensure the flow rates of both hot and cold individually are adequate to supply a shower should be sufficient.
