I found a fire surround that was being removed from a renovated house and thought I'd give a new home. However I'm not sure of the best way to attach it. It's not going to be a working fire just the surround. The front seems to be plaster with concrete?? filling in the back, with channels missing which I presume would be attached to something. Someone said that it should be attached in 2 pieces but that would ruin it. Please can someone help with an idiots guide to how to do this. Thanks in anticipation.
