Fixing Shower Unit to Tiles

Post by Bricheno » Wed Apr 11, 2007 10:02 am

Hi guys. I recently had a shower unit installed at home but the guy who did it has left the shower head unit attached to the wall with only one screw rather than 4. It is a plasterboard wall with ceramic tiles on top. The holes are drilled but there are no screws inserted. Do you have any ideas what the best fixing to use is?

Many thanks.

Hi,

Assuming there is enough space behind the plaster board, then drill carefully through the tiles for the remaining screws and use heavy duty plasterboard fixings.

I suggest the type that have wings that come out inside the plasterboard when the screw is tightened.
