Floor structure

I'm converting my existing basement into additional living space and wondered if anyone can advise on the floor structure. The existing floor is concrete, level and in good condition. I've got no issue with the ceiling height so can I just have a damp proof membrane, insulation and floating floor?

Also if building a partition wall in the room, should this be built on top of the original concrete or the new floating floor?
