Forticrete gemini tiles on shallow pitch roof

Post by philf » Tue Nov 10, 2020 9:58 am

Hi - On an old extension of our house we are having some velux windows installed (amongst other works). According to the builder and roofer the angle/pitch of the roof is shallow and we should replace the existing roof tiles with a particular brand called forticrete gemini which should provide protection against driving rain (we have lived in the house for just over a year and havent experienced any issues and there were no signs of water damage when we bought the house). Unfortunately these are out of stock and won’t be back available until next spring which will delay our building programme. Presumably the roofer also suggested these tiles as the colour/style will roughly match what is on the main roof. Does anyone know of a different brand that will do the same job? Ours doesn’t, but surely there must be?
Many thanks in advance
Phil

Hi philf.
Suggest you have a look at weinberger tiles, they do a range of interlocking tiles which look like plain tiles.
