Foundation query

We want to build a conservatory - possibly with a tiled roof which would also act as an extention to our lounge. Outside of the lounge where the conservatory would be is a patio which lies on approx 8ft deep of rubble (broken bricks etc) what is the best thing to do for the foundations. It will be a huge job to remove all the rubble to get back to ground level is there an alternative way to get around this problem?

Unlikely Mike but talk to an architect. If this is to be a lounge extension also and you are removing an external door as a through way for the extension, you will be making the conservatory opart of your living area which means it will probably require building regulation approval.
