frame fixing sizes for dg windows

by pacman » Wed Sep 29, 2010 2:36 pm

hi,

what size length and diameter is recommended for the frame fixers when through fixing on pvc windows?

is 10mm diameter standard or is 8mm ok?

and how much of the fixing should actually be in the masonary? 60mm minimum?

are generic frame fixers ok instead of fischer ones?

thanks in advance

use stardrive fixings you need a 6mm pilot hole and the screws fix directly into the masonry.
The holes should be 150mm from the welded corners of the frame top and bottom depending on the size of the frame you might need a 3rd fixing.
The size of screw I use is 120mm on windows and 150mm on doors
