Garden Pump to Boost Poor Pressure?

by Jamie.strand » Thu Dec 05, 2019 1:08 am

I have an issue which I'm confident comes down to lack of pressure. Water comes through slowly and weakly and someone mentioned I might be able to run another pump after water has gone through the boiler so that it's pushing close to the tap and shower. It's on a boat with 12v pump already in place before the boiler. Trying not to be a cowboy but often unconventional is not off the table if it means I can fix this slow lukewarm water! Don't know whats the cause as the 12v pump seems to work well for one appliance but not the other far away, checked for kinks. I figure its either the distance or more likely the appliances themselves so need something to push it along. Can I use this second pump in this way? Do the pumps need to be the same psi/bar and can I mix hot and cold into a pump if it is able to take high temperature? I'm new to this game! Really want to learn and understand!
