Getting Kitchen Island Back to Original Colour

by SamanthaPounder » Wed Aug 03, 2016 9:37 am

We have an island in our kitchen and my husband vanished our duvet ages ago and it seeped through onto the island and took the colouring out - we are renting and move out in the next couple of weeks. Can anyone help to how to get it back to the original colouring???

Hi,

I presume we are talking about a timber worktop. If so, the best method would be to sand back the whole surface and then re-finish with a suitable oil such as Osmo or Fiddes Hard Wax Oil.

You could probably get a more accurate answer if you post a photo etc.
