Glass Stored at an Angle and Chip on Edge

by Rwkshaw » Tue May 31, 2016 7:59 pm

I have a large double glazed unit and it has been stored by the builders at an angle and now when it is stood straight one piece is higher than the other, I.e both parts of the glazing, inner and outer do not touch a flat surface together on the edge. Will this cause problems or break any seals, also, the edge of the glazing has a chip about a centimetre on the surface, is this likely to develop into a crack??

the glass unit, will fail, which means it will condensate, because the seal has failed, due to poor storage, and the crack will get worse over time.
Re order a new unit.
