Gorilla Filler Expanding Foam Advice

Postby DaveL81 » Wed Nov 10, 2021 10:43 am

Hello, looking for some advice on Gorilla Filler expanding foam.

My wife's gone a bit crazy with the expanding foam and has sprayed around a section of the hot and cold water pipes and also a section where the Thermostat cable runs.

Ive read mixed things on whether this is safe to do so due to the reaction of the foam with copper pipes and electrical cabling. So my question is whether its OK to leave it? (she's done a neat job) Or do I need to remove it so it's clear of any pipework and cabling?

Many thanks in advance!

Hi davel81,
Provided the cable is nowhere near its current carrying capacity you should be fine. I’ve used the stuff for years without issues and it’s great for stopping mats and rice.
