Why does my hot water go cold when running the hot tap??
It will run hot when first turned on then sometimes goes cold!!
It takes 2 - 3 times of turning hot tap on/off before I can get the hot water to stay on!!

Can someone tell why this is!!

I have recently had it serviced and the plumber said it was fixed!!

Cheers

With a combi normal to get cold water first (water in pipes from boiler to taps), then hot (water been sat inside boiler heat exchanger), cold again then hot as pressure switch brings boiler on! Water should then stay hot! If not try closing tap down slightly this should then remain hot constantly! If ur used to a system boiler (hot water tank) it can seem strange but normal.
