A local builder who has since retired gave me a small number of specialist slotted washers (see photo) when building my new workshop but I've now run out and would love to be able to buy some more....
They have been invaluable in my work since as it enables me to precisely place wall mounted items with fixing plates over a protruding screw or screws and then slide on the washer(s) and tighten the screw(s) without the need for a second pair of hands to hold the unit while trying to insert a screw with penny washer already attached.
