Heat Proofing Plaster Walls

Postby amcdon4117 » Wed Dec 05, 2007 12:35 pm

I have a pair of woodburners that are pushing out so much heat that nearby plaster (on plasterboard) walls are drying and cracking. Can anyone advise on what materials or methods I can replace this plaster with a heatproof substance that will fit flush and allow decoration (painting)?
