I've got a Baxi back boiler heating and hot water system controlled with a Horstmann Amethyst 7. Couple of days ago came home to find the heating and hot water still on with the controller switched to off position. Only way it could get it to shut down was knock the mains supply to controller off. Thought it was the controller cos it had been quite noisy so changed it for a Horstmann Tiara. Still exactly the same. From reading the posts on here think it might be one of the valves sticking? There are 2 on system, 1 switches between hot water and heating - mid position?(was replaced a couple of years ago) the other is an in line valve (looks quite old) Any ideas??
