I hope to move into a new bungalow. it currently has an old back boiler and it needs a new boiler, I hope to get a combi. It has three bedrooms two rec's, but I would like to convert the attic to make another two. I'm unsure about what power boiler to go for. I've seen many but don't understand the power outputs (HE etc). can you help? many thanks
Thanks for the advice steve. I affraid I'm a bit of a novice when it comes to boilers and their out puts. I just wanted to make sure that if I do get a new boiler it has the capacity to power any extra rads I put in should I extend up into the loft ( 2 extra). Bungalow currently has seven rads, standard kitchen and bathroom if that is of any use?
I like the worcester bosch boilers. Ive got a 24i Junior condensing in a semi detached house - two bedrrom. My Htg Eng told me that capacity for central heating aint really the issue. The issue is how much hot water do you use for washing showring etc. If you have more than 1 bathroom then the 24i may not be man enough. It cost me about 1500 for the boiler including installation which I thought was Ok. If you need more water you could go for the 28i. Check out a few of the websites & make your decision on flow rate of hot water you need.
