How are light switches wired??? I have 2 lights in my room and i'm trying to make them independant so one switch will control one light and one switch control the other but i cannot work out what all the wires are for. In the 1 gang 2 way switch which is located at one side of the room there are 3 red cables and 1 black and in the 2 gang 2 way switch located on the other side of the room there are 5 red cables and 1 black. The new switches only have L1 and L2 on them but i cant get the lights to work.
Any ideas
