I’ve just made a new table top for the garden and painted it with Cuprinol Garden SHADES. Unfortunately I found out that it tends to chip quite easily....it feels quite soft.
So I then gave it a clear satin coat of Ronseal Outdoor Varnish. However as it dried it was blotchy with darker, cloudy brown streaks in it.
Is this my fault? I realised after I should have been regularly stirring it whilst using it.
Should I have thinned it?
Does anybody have any recommendations for a durable varnish for use over such paint please? Any tips greatly accepted. Cheers.
