Help Needed - Totally new flooring

by Shane1981 » Wed Oct 17, 2007 10:56 am

Hello

I've bought a house which is 120 years old...

I've gutted the house, dug the floor up, and had a damp course done....

Question is:

How deep do I dig up the floor? then how many inches of hardcore? screed? self leveler? etc etc etc

Any help is much appreciated!!

A step by step guide would be even better lol (totally new to all this)

Many thanks :)

Shane

See our project on ground floor slab. Thia has all of the details required, including position of the damp proof course and membrane to replace a wooden floor with a concrete one. If you want to put a new wooden floor in see our project on replacing a timber floor.
