2nd time lucky with posting this - 1st one disappeared!! Hi all - can anyone assist with a non starting gas fire? It's an older Robinson Wiley that only gets turned on 1 or 2 times per year. Had it working for 7 hours yesterday and today will not fire up. It's a turbo fan model Berry Flame/Salisbury Turbo 2. At start up the fan comes on as normal and the piezo works fine after the initial 20/30 seconds start up - but no gas - although the gas feed to the unit is working ok at the stop cock next to unit. The manual states there is a manual thermostat switch on the unit for overheating reset - does anyone know where this is located? Assuming the reset does not work whats the next check item - solenois? or? Any/all help greatly appreciated
Thanks for reply. As we did not need the fire during winter was not a drame. Tested everything else on fire - fairly basic set up - only conclusion I came to was the ECU/Brain/Control unit - it was sparking but solenoid not opening. Is that what you refer to as the APS?
