Help Replacing a Built in Lamp Holder and Bayonet

by Angharad86 » Sun Jan 05, 2020 1:02 pm

Hi helpful people!
I took a lamp off my light last night & when I put the light back in it didn't work. I realised the black screw part above the bayonet (see pic) was actually twisting as I unscrewed it so I think the wires unattached. The screw part above the bayonet is built in and there's no screws on the rose so I'm not sure how to take it off to reattach the wires or replace it. I've looked online but can't find help with one the same as this. Any help would be much appreciated!
Cheers,
Angharad

The "big white bit" unscrews.
You will probably have to run a utility knife round its edge first as it looks like it has been sealed when the ceiling was painted.
