Herringbone Wood Floor Gaps - Is This a Problem?

Post by ElwoodP » Wed May 01, 2019 11:22 pm

Hi, I am having someone lay some herringbone engineered oak flooring from v4 (zb109). Its been laid over the last few days and its the first time I've taken a close look and I notice quite a few gaps between the blocks. I was expecting everything to fit very tight together. I'm concerned as this is for a kitchen diner and I'm worried water easily get in these gaps and ruin the flooring. Should I be concerned or is this normal?
