Hello! I live in a rented property and whilst doing a bit of gardening earlier I came across a slab by the front door. It wasn't cemented in place or anything and I moved it a bit to investigate. I thought that it was one of a few loose slabs that are in the garden amongst pebbles, weeds, membrane etc. But it covers a hole that leads vertically to the cellar. I know very little about buildings but I'm wondering if this could be a route into the house for water to get in when it rains. When the slab was moved a little it certainly let light into the cellar as I discovered when I investigated by taking the stairs down to the cellar. Any thoughts would be much appreciated.
