Hot tap issue in bathroom

by carlosspencer_12 » Wed Jul 06, 2011 10:35 pm

I have had a combi boiler fitted recently and the Hot Tap in the bathroom which is on the end of the run starts to slow down and stop after running it. However the bath hot tap has high pressure throughout when left on.

Does any one know how this is the case and how to solve it?

Thank you in advance

You could have an air lock in the pipes somewhere. One easy remedy is too force the cold water back down the hot pipe to dislodge the air lock. If the taps are a mixer then open the hot tap slightly, then place something over the end of the tap and turn on the cold tap full. This might make a mess but do this for around 5 mins to allow the cold water to travel down the length of pipework on the hot side.

hope this helps
