Hot Water- No central heating?

by micklar » Tue Mar 25, 2008 12:57 pm

Hello Everyone!

I might be a little green here, so please help me. My Glow Worm Ultimate 40ff boiler's hot water system is working fine, but the central heating doesn't seem to be working, all the rads are cold, but the timer and the room thermostat seemed to be making the right clicks etc.

Please help!

Thanks in advance!

check three port valve, actuator may need replacing also check the valve spindle moves freely.

This will probably be located near the pump

I moving the 3 port valve, and it seems the valve spindle does move freely, but is not working automatically.

How do you reccomend I proceed?

Care and patience

Mine went and I had hoped to renew just the round motor mechanism that makes the valve open and close. But, the installer had fitted the whole unit incorrectly originally so it was damaged and I had to replace the entire unit. Round about £20 'ish I think.

There's a picture of a round motor unit on this site.
