Hot water problem

by freeflow » Fri Apr 10, 2020 3:28 pm

Hi
We got a boulter oil boiler with a tank for the hot water; we also got on the system an open fire back boiler, both heat water and central heating. There is a vent valve by the hot tank and I used to have to bleed the hot tank every 2 months or i would not have any hot water, it now has become impossible and i got to bleed it every 3 weeks or no hot water and the bleed screw gets also clogged does not work very well, got to push a small nail in it before it works. Anybody got any ideas why increased air and blockage, can i put something on it which vents the air automatically?
