How do I mix white mortar for blue bricks?

Post by ARGYBHAJI » Tue Jun 15, 2010 10:24 am

I want to achieve a white (or light grey) mortar colour to contrast blue bricks on a dwarf garden wall.

Any tips on what the mix should be? I've found mortar dyes for black and red but can't find any recipe for white mortar.

I've seen this mortar colour on a number of buildings and would like to replicate it but don't know where to start.

The wall is only three courses high and doesn't carry any load.

Any advice would be gratefully received.

ARGYBHAJI,
Buy some white cement and mix with a fine sharp sand.
