How remove plastic joint between wall panels

Postby markusb » Mon Oct 18, 2021 12:15 pm

I need to inspect the wall behind a built-in wardrobe. The back panel of the wardrobe is two flimsy pieces of MDF-type wood held together by a plastic joint - see pic. You can see where I tried to pull the joint out using a pliers but it did not give too easily!

How can I remove that plastic joint? Ideally I'd like to put it and the panels back if everything behind the wardrobe is ok. Thanks.

Hi markusb
These panels are joined using the plastic channel and then nailed to the back edges of the wardrobe, the wardrobe is then put in place.
You will have to reverse these actions.
