How to Remove a Freestanding Wood burner

Postby DennisBLee » Mon Jun 13, 2022 3:11 pm

Hi there,

I'm looking to rent my house out and was thinking of removing my wood burning stove as it's one less thing that could potentially go wrong or worry about. I'm probably looking to sell in a few years time so would want to keep in storage / in garage and put back in. Anyone recommend a good way to do this - or perhaps board up the fireplace instead ?

Thanks,

Hi Dennisblee,
Much better to board it over but leave a gap or hole so that the enclosed space remains ventilated.
