How to remove fence panels

Post by Beckface » Sun Feb 28, 2021 10:53 am

The top of our fence panel came off and it needs replacing. Unfortunately it's not clear to me how we remove the panel as it doesn't seem to be one we can just slide up and out.

I've attached photos of the fixings. Each panel is attached to a central wooden post with a metal fixing halfway up, but there are no screws in sight. Can someone advise how we would remove it? Many thanks

Hi beckface
The clips were probably used to hold the panels in place so that permanent fixings could be used. These will be either nails or screws driven through the side frame and into the post. The fixings may be your side or your neighbours side or both. Levering between the post and side frame timber should show you where they are.
