Hi, a plumber has just fitted me a new shower screen but as he was drilling the holes in the chrome the drill broke and it's scratched the chrome. Small scratches but quite deep. Will anything help improve the look of them? Also will it now rust over time?
Hi rachaelf, It’s not really your problem, if the plumber damaged the screen he should make good ie fit a replacement, unless he offered a discount for damaged goods. If you want to repair it see if you can buy a small tube of aluminium coloured silicone mastic and fill the scratches with this. It’s most likely an aluminium frame so unlikely to rust. Regards S
Thank you. He's an older guy who's pretty much retired so I didn't know whether to mention it when I spotted it after he'd left. I've already paid him. I'd have to buy a whole new shower screen then risk it getting damaged being installed again so I think I'll just try to cover it. Thank you for the advice.
