Hello. Hope someone can help me? I am trying to wire a rotary cam switch HZ5B 10 model. It's just a simple on / off I need connected to a lamp I am building from scratch. I'm not great with terminology so basic instructions would be great. Thanks in advance.
The cam switch you mention is for commercial use, why can you not use an ordinary switch? What worries me is if it is for commercial use, you should not be connecting it.

Hi. It's for a project. I'm building an industrial look lamp from an old 1950's amp meter. It already has an old cam switch but obviously not safe to use due to age and only need it to be on and off. The switch I'm looking at is for 240v use. I just want to use the original rotary knob but modernise the switch
