by susans » Fri Mar 23, 2007 9:01 am

we have a copper cylinder and 2 tanks in the loft hot water and header tank we have normal hot water pressure in our down stairs taps but in the bathroom it only trickles out of the bath and better flow out of the sink but not brilliant i have used the air lock system and it improved a bit but when we heat the water up in the tank it only trickles through the hot bath tap as i can see all valves are open any ideas

Hot water flow

The supply to the hot cylinder, and the outlet to the bathroom facilities, need to be large-bore, at least 22 mm, if not 28 mm ;-- 15 mm works fine going down to the ground-floor due to higher pressure-head.
