Im really really stuck, i have an old potterton boiler with a tank in the loft etc, i have HW that is fine, but the CH seems to work when it wants, the Rads upstairs are fine and hot but the downstairs ones sometimes heat up for about 20 minutes then stop and dont heat up again unless i bleed about 2 jugsof water from one of them and that sometimes seems to help and get it to start heating up.
Ive just come back from two days away and even if i bleed the rads downstairs they still wont heat up, ive had the valve changed next to the boiler and had a few people round to look at it but no one seems to know the problem and im getting cold!!
Can someone please advise me on what i should be looking at etc as this is my first hse and dont really know what to look for etc
