[color=green][b]Hello, I have been searching high and low for a suitable garden gate that can be opened from the outside. At the moment I have a gate that is padlocked on the inside.

All I can find are state of the art remote control gates.

Really all I need is a heavy gate that can have some kind of key lock fitted to it. Can anybody help! :? [/b][/color]

You can fit a rim lock to almost any gate. Click on link below

These locks are not meant for external use but we have had one on our own gate for 14 months now and once a month we spray it with WD 40. Its great. They fit easily on the inside of the gate with a hole drilled through the gate for the key. See the link below for WD 40
