Indirect immersion pump

by mahneb » Sun Feb 07, 2010 6:41 pm

Hi - my first post so I'm a newbie at this.

We have an indirect immersion system which currently has a separate header tank. We would like to drop the immersion tank, in the airing cupboard, and fit the header tank above it. Our plumber tells us that this may create problems with the water pressure, which is obviously gravity fed.

Q. Could we fit a pump to increase water pressure on both hot and cold water outlets? If so, could anyone advise which type of pump and flow rates etc.
Any suggestions for a solution and recommendations welcome and greatly appreciated.

TIA
