Ineffective sound proofing from my new double glazed windows

Post by ianphirst » Thu Nov 11, 2010 11:37 am

I have had some new upvc double glaze windows fitted and they are less effective at keeping out the noise than my old single pane wooden windows. On the design on the outside frame there is a gap for drainage where the frame meets the sill. Is there any way I can insulate or reinforce the frame?
