Installing a Power Shower e.g Mira Vigour

When installing a power shower with an integral pump, can I take
the hot supply from the existing supply to the hot tap in the
shower room wash basin, or does it need a dedicated supply from
the tank?

You could try it and see but you will probably have to fit a surrey/Deleted flange in the hot tank.
