Insulating a shed floor that is currently in place

by jcwads » Tue May 26, 2020 4:03 pm

Hello,

I have insulated my shed with celotex board. However when it comes to the floor, the shed is already installed and I cant uproot it. It is sat on a concrete bass with wood panels as the floor presently.

I have about 3.5cm to play with but my options are limited. Can you lay celotex and then some kind of hard floor directly on top of it? I dont have the luxury of joists that you can insulate between and then cover...

Hi jcwads
Lay a DPM on the concrete, 25mm celotex and that leaves you 10mm for flooring.
