Is it Possible to Move Uprights in Existing Loft Conversion?

Post by angus_murray » Tue Apr 07, 2015 8:15 pm

I would really appreciate some advice regarding a loft already converted. In the picture I would like to remove upright A, and move upright B back in line with the uprights C. The rafters are 5"x2", but would like to move these uprights to allow us to square off the room. Can anyone advise if this is possible? Do I need to get a structural engineer involved?

Would appreciate any help- thanks in advance

Angus
