Is my Neighbours Loft Conversion Safe?

by Jordan8710 » Wed Jan 31, 2018 10:56 pm

Hi,,
Hope this post is in the right forum. I live in a semi detached house and my neighbour is getting ready to sell his house and has been doing a lot of home improvements. I just found out the he is halfway through converting his loft. He has removed all the purlin and braces from his side of the roof and supported with joist. My concern is that he is doing all the work himself and I'm worried about the structural integrity of his side of the roof and how that might affect my property. Should i be conserned?

Also there isn't a proper partitioning wall between our loft spaces, the only reason I know he's converting is because I could see into his loft from my loft.
Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks.
