IS there a z-shaped air brick suitable for solid walls?

by doc_daneeka » Wed May 09, 2007 10:52 am

I am trying to install airbricks in the back wall of a victorian terrace unfortunately at the level where the airbrick shoudl go there is a beam which runs parrallel to the wall with about 1 inch between.

I assume that this won't provide adequate ventilation.

It is not really possible to take the floor level any lower on the outside of the house as this would expose the drainage pipes in the yard which would not be an attractive feature.

I was wondering wether there were airbricks available similar to the z shaped sleeve but suitable for a solid brick wall?

any advice or guidance on this problem would be most welcome.
