We have been refurbishing our kitchen which has involved knocking through the kitchen into what previously used to be an outside store. We aren't sure if the small store had a DPC like the rest of the house.
We had a screed laid to level the floor and noticed a small damp patch in the corner of the floor. The water was just sat on top of the screed. There are some small patches of fluffy white mould on the bricks, but not very much. This has literally appeared in the last few days and the wall was actually knocked through over a week ago.
There definitely aren't any leaks/drips from the pipes. There is a bit of green on the bricks on the outside but not sure if this is normal or an indicator of something?
We also have no central heating in that room at the moment but will be having a radiator installed soon.
