We have 2 windows in our property that open at an angle. I've noticed there is a small "latch" missing in both windows, well 1 is snapped and the other is missing.
Does anyone know what these are called and/or what is involved in replacing them?
Hi twera99 It looks like your windows are on the first floor and you have fire escape windows. Normally the windows in the fully open position will split the window about 1/3 and 2/3. If the fire escape latch is released (or missing in your case) the window can be moved right back allowing escape. You may have to replace the hinges, I doubt a repair will be successful . Regards S
