Knock Down Dividing Wall Between Two Door Openings

Post by hawkim1 » Wed Aug 03, 2016 11:36 am

Hi All,
I looking on for some advice on the best way to handle knocking down a dividing wall between our bathroom and Toilet. We want to block up the Bathroom door and use the existing toilet door. The wall is not a load bearing wall and is laid on the floorboards. The problem I have is that the two doorways (one in to the bathroom and the other in to the toilet are set in between the wall I want to knock down). I’m not sure of the best method to get the wall down and block up the bathroom door with causing problems . I have attached a picture to make it a bit clear.
Any advice will be welcome.

you don't need to use blocks, you can use 4 x 2 timber, insulate and plasterboard
