landing light

by gnewberry » Mon Aug 13, 2007 3:07 pm

I have been trying to change my landing light for a new one. I am having problems identifing which wire goes where.

I have 4 feeds

3 of Black, red, & earth
1 of 2 reds & 1 earth ( neither of the red wires have any markings on them.)

I need to fit these into a basic 4 position terminal block

Can anyone help

Hi, put either 1 of the reds from twin red to live of light, put all 4 blks to Neutral of light, put remaining 3 reds in 4th (spare) term block not connecting to fitting, put all earths to E of light,

you actually have 1 tw/e too many so it's possible u have 2 lights in same room? If so it will not sw. off! Don't panic.....
remove reds one by one from spare term until the other light goes off, reconnect it with the single red in the lights L term.
