Ive got a problem with mold in this room which i washed 3days ago, this crack was not there then so it has appeared VERY fast. Can anyone tell me what this could be? Is it a big problem? And how could it appear so quickly!? Thanks.
At a guess this maybe caused from constant damp in the room expanding and contracting over time and making its way into small imperfections in the wall. Over time as the moisture expands and contracts in these cracks it creates bigger cracks.
I would suggest getting in a good ventilation system or install a wall vent if there is none in the room. The ensure the room and walls are completely dry fill the cracks with some sand and cement mix or similar and finish accordingly.
This should solve your problem. If not then you may have a subsidence issue or another structural issue causing your walls to crack.
